What is a System House?
A “system house” in the architectural coating industry is a licensed regional coating facility authorised by a paint manufacturer (such as PPG, Jotun, or Akzo Nobel) to apply their approved coating systems. System houses operate to the paint manufacturer's specification, use approved pre-treatment processes, and produce certified output traceable to the paint brand's warranty programme.
Setting up and managing a system house involves navigating paint brand approval processes, BIS and international certification requirements, QC documentation, equipment selection, process control, and operator qualification. Radiant Anodisers — as one of India's most experienced architectural coating facilities and BIS First Applicant in 8 categories — provides the expertise to guide system houses through this process.
We support both new system house startups and established facilities seeking to improve efficiency, quality consistency, or expand their certification scope.
What We Provide
Process Audit
Detailed review of pre-treatment, application, curing, and QC processes against paint-brand and BIS requirements. Identifies gaps and recommends corrective action.
QA/QC System Setup
Design and implementation of inspection checklists, process parameter logs, batch traceability records, and corrective action procedures aligned with ISO 9001.
Technical Training
Structured training for line operators, QC inspectors, and supervisors covering pre-treatment chemistry, coating application, film inspection, and defect identification.
Certification Pathway
Step-by-step guidance for BIS first applicant status, IS 2395, AAMA 2603/2604/2605, and paint-brand system house approval processes.
Equipment Optimisation
Review of spray equipment, oven profiles, pre-treatment tank chemistry, and line configuration to improve first-pass yield and reduce reject rates.
Ongoing Technical Support
Retained technical advisory to assist with process deviations, new product introduction, customer complaints, and periodic system audits.
End-to-End Coating Partnership
Apart from project-based job work, Radiant takes full responsibility for managing coatings for several system houses under NDA. With 10 NDAs signed, your material flows directly from purchase to finish without leaving our facility.
Material Receipt & Quality Assessment
Extrusions purchased by the system house are sent directly to Radiant. We assess superficial quality, perform stock counting, and generate detailed reports for the client.
Order Generation & Shade Selection
Client generates an order list from the extrusion inventory, selecting from up to 11 coating options and shades. Orders from the 1st–15th are processed and dispatched between the 15th and 22nd.
Processing & Quality Control
Material is coated to specification using PVDF, powder, or anodising as required. Every batch passes through our in-house QC laboratory before dispatch clearance.
Scheduled Dispatch
Finished material dispatched on a fixed cycle. Clients save on freight, warehousing, and coordination — and can focus their team on core business activities.
Key Advantages for System Houses
- Significant freight savings — material stays in one location
- Smoother stock management with real-time reporting
- Space utilisation freed up at client's facility
- Client team free to focus on sales & installation
